One of the best things about a Halong Bay cruise is that everything is included. In theory, there’s no need to bring anything. However, here are some things you may want to bring along.
Candy bars and water
All cruises provide water on the tour but you should bring an extra bottle just in case. The drive from Hanoi takes 4 hours, if you’re travelling with children, this is a must!
Cash
In Vietnam, credit cards are not accepted everywhere so you should always have some cash with you, not only for a cruise in Halong Bay.
Sunscreen, hat & Anti-bug lotion

You definitely don’t want to see NO BATTERY on your laptop/phone… and especially on your camera. It is very difficult for any Halong Bay accommodation to provide plug adaptors due to the wide variety of existing plugs.

There are so many wonderful and unusual things to capture during Halong Bay cruises that you are most likely to take a photo of everything!

Business cards
Because you never know who you are going to meet. Many of our guests has e-mailed us to ask for any contact information of other guests they met during the cruises. So a small simple business card would be wonderful in this situation.
Personal hygiene stuffs
On V’Spirit Cruises, every room will be equipped with enough hygiene stuffs like shampoo, toothbrush, soap, etc… However, if you are a careful person, bringing your own is necessary. Some of tourists are even allergic to some substances, so it’s better for you to prepare themselves the personal hygiene stuffs.
Waterproof backpack
For very cautious/experienced travelers only. But if you are a “clumsy thumbsy”, you should consider this too.
Duct tape
The universal fixing tool for every situation. Useful to mark your luggage, repair things, and very efficient as a lint remover!
Motion sickness tablets
These things are actually mandatory if you are likely to suffer from one these ailments. But with its calm water, Halong Bay really acts as a shield that stops all the violent waves, so it’s hard to get sea sick in Halong Bay.
