On the 16th of the first month of the lunar calendar, local people of Phu Hai, Hai Ha district attend the My Son Village Temple Festival. This is a traditional culture that the local people have preserved and promoted for many years.
The village temple is a place of worship of the King, and the God of Rivers and Sea. My Son Village Temple Festival takes place from the 16th until the 20th of the first lunar month every year.
This year, the festival was organised with different activities such as carrying a torch from the river mouth to welcome the village tutelary gods to the festival, male and female teams singing and dancing, and many spiritual rituals to pray for a year of luck, good weather, and bumper harvest.
Besides the spiritual and religious ceremony, there were also folk games such as: pushing sticks, nets knitting and catching ducks. These activities attracted numerous local people and visitors to the festival.
